one door

it's been some time, i've been busy and have been going through some funny times.
it all started with a call from well known producer running a v successful production house. they do mainly long formats, ie tv programms and such. she is looking for someone to run the post side of things (meaning the editing, sfx, audio, dubbs and such) and asked me if there are ways we could work together.
i like long formats, it's lots of hard work, the money's not there but you get to 'air' your side on issues. i was really considering it, but to move on with just less than 3 months in my present company is a crime plus my current boss is also a good friend.
anyway for a week or so, the thought of moving was in my thoughts and everytime it gets a bit though at my present workplace, i feel like quitting and move on.
one day a very funny thing happened. God brought to mind a children bible song. it goes something like this

one door and only one, yet the sides are two,
inside and outside, which side are you ?

does any of you know this song ?
as i was humming to this song, i felt God asking me, if i'm inside or outside my present company. i know there and then i would have to make a decision, still i tried to brush it off, could be a coincidence, could be i'm reading too much into the song.
i reached my workplace, checked my mail and my friend has sent me a chain-mail. i usually trash them. this one has some good advice as it's heading. so i read it. the first advise is, do more than you're suppose to and do it cheerfully. ok God, i now know you're on my case....... but the statement is really too general, after all it's not biblical.
guess what, the morning devotion for that day was entitled "the Lord our God hath shewed us His glory." (yes it's KJV) and part of the devotion say "...They who navigate little streams and shallow creeks, know but little of the God of tempests; but they who "do business in great waters," these see His "wonders in the deep."
ok God, you win. i'll stay.

subplot
you know, having another job offer can really be distracting, instead of wanting to work things out, i just want to throw in the towel and move to the other company. especially when you'll the 'big fish' there.
guess it's like when you're able to have more than one wife. when things don't go well, instead of working it out, we'll go look for another.
