hair cut

what a thing to do on valentine's day. but i'm chinese and with Chinese New Year this weekend, i went to my usual indian barber. they're convenient and cheap, but i must say the rm 12 quick cuts are also very good but they're mostly located in shopping complexes.

my barber today was a teenager. i was expecting some older barber around but there were none, too late to turn about and run. (guess the seniors have all gone out to celebrate valentine's day and had left this most junior barber to hold the fort.) i was already in the shop and he had shown me the chair. he put on his favourite song on the cassette player ( i suspect they're instructions in tamil ) a went to work. you can hear the scissors snipping rapidly but without my spects, i could not not see the 'damage'. when the hair cut is done they'll usually give one a twist of the head, to loosen things up, i was so tense that he'll have to snap my neck to loosen it up. i bet you i was the perfect model(if they practice on that before graduating) not movements except when directed by him. i didn't even scratch my itchy nose till he was changing scissors. this must be the longest haircut i've ever taken.

good thing it turned out ok. if he made any mistake that requires me to go for a marine style hair cut, it'll take me forever to grow my hair back !

guess next time i'll do a reece 1st before going in.
