In ICU

My FIL was admitted to KLGH thursday and was moved to icu yesterday evening. Visited him today and he seems to be in good spirit. Much better than the news which I got from mrs chief which was rather alarming.
Brought back some old memories. My dad was in icu for a while before he passed away.
Had a chat with a nurse there. sometimes nurses have wise words to say, must be coz they've seen how helpless one can be when all the power, money and contact in this world is of no help.
I find them to be very kind and helpful as well, going about their work with some v low tech.
Low tech coz in front of every icu patient there is a desk for doctors to review reports and scribble note on them. Charts of patient's readings are charted manually or printed and glued to the reports.
And all these next to some of the most sophisticated medical equipment I've ever seen.
I digress.... My FIL is not saved yet and friend from church have come to share the good news with him. His answer was no, but theres hope as he is allowing us to pray for him. A far cry from the days where mrs chief was chased out of the house for being a Christian.
